How do I get started with a career in EMS

First, you must be certified as an EMT-Basic. Here is where you should start In the Watauga and Ashe County area. Emergency Services - Wilkes Community College (wilkescc.edu). Mayland Community College also has a great program. Caldwell Community College also offers a program but I would not recommend that Program at this time.

Boone NC is a truly great place to live and work. It has it all, mountain biking, hunting and fishing, hiking, skiing you name it there are plenty of outdoor activities year round.
