Proudly Serving Watauga County Since 1999

What steps can I take to prevent COVID-19?

The last two years have seen incredible scientific advances in the fight against COVID-19. Vaccines and other measures have had a significant impact in reducing severe outcomes like hospitalization and death from the virus. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends several preventative measures to reduce your risk of COVID-19, from booster shots to masking and social distancing.

While vaccines and other measures are effective to prevent COVID-19, they may not provide enough protection for those who are immunocompromised. There are options that can provide additional layers of protection for immunocompromised individuals, including long-acting monoclonal antibody therapy.

Consider Volunteering in your community with one of our local volunteer Fire Departments

Every community in Watauga County is served by a fire department which provides not only provides lifesaving skills should you have a fire but also provides first response when you dial 911 for a medical emergency as well.  Most of the fire departments in Watauga County provide this service with strictly volunteers that live within the community.  Please consider volunteering with your local Fire Department and become a valued member of your community.  Contact your local fire department for more information on how you can help within your own community.
